Greenpeace
The climate is changing, and we aren't doing enough to protect our world. But Greenpeace is one of the first environmental charities to take physical action to help the environment. For example, building an underwater boulder barrier, which they have an article about on the blog on their website. They campaign for action against global warming and have had many successes.
There are many ways that you can support Greenpeace. There are 'quick actions' which take less than two minutes to do, volunteer to work for the charity, sign one of the many petitions calling for action, organise a Greenpeace talk for your colleagues, school class or other group, donate, or, if you like receiving something back, buying a T-shirt. You can also sign up to the website to receive emails containing news and progress.
But where's the money going? For every £1 that Greenpeace receives, 83p is spent on campaigning for action against climate change and help for the environment.
On their blog, the writers raise awareness of issues in the environment, and share their victories: destructive bottom trawling banned in 4 vital ocean habitats (2022), new world-leading offshore wind industry built (2021), and new petrol and diesel cars banned (2020), on top of many more.
